Dr. Agnieszka Matusik, BSc, ND earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine designation at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. In her family practice, Dr. Matusik focuses on assisting her patients in achieving optimal health by addressing the underlying cause of disease. Dr. Matusik provides a patient centered approach to health by utilizing naturopathic modalities to form comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. In addition, she has additional training and certification to do acupuncture, chelation therapy, IV therapy such as high dose Vitamin C treatments and individualized vitamin and mineral cocktails. Some of the health concerns that can be addressed include allergies, digestive problems, decreased immune system function, hormonal imbalance, cardiovascular disease, fatigue, autoimmune diseases as well as women and children’s health conditions.
Health assessment involves a detailed health history, physical exam and lab testing when appropriate. Lab testing may involve investigation of adrenal gland function, female or male salivary hormone levels, gastrointestinal function, possible food allergies and sensitivities and heavy metal burden. Treatment may involve a combination of therapies, including nutritional therapy, dietary counseling, detoxification, botanical medicine, classical and complex homeopathy, acupuncture, intravenous therapies, injection therapy, chelation therapy and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Matusik is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the British Columbia Naturopathic Association.
